Why an international parcel has two carriers

General practical guidance; destination-specific requirements must be checked with official sources.

Identify the delivery partners

A cross-border shipment may move between an origin operator, transport partner, and final-mile carrier. Our tracking view shows carrier names only when the provider returns them.

Keep both numbers

If the tracking record supplies a local delivery number, keep it alongside the original. A format match is only a clue and does not prove which carrier holds the parcel.

Compare the event history

Read events from each carrier with their original timestamps. One partner may publish an update before another. Missing events or an unsupported partner can leave gaps.

Use the carrier with the latest actionable event

For a pickup request or delivery attempt, use the official instructions of the carrier that issued it. Ask the sender to investigate when the handoff cannot be confirmed.
